The first acupuncture treatment went extremely well and I could see the positive results right away. Dennis at Harmony Vet when I made it known to my vet that I wanted to try a different approach to treating Mickey. Once the onset of ulcers occurred, I was administering ointments and other western medicine techniques. ![]() The uveitis has caused his left eye to obtain ulcers and has diminished his vision in that eye as well. Mickey has been battling uveitis for many years now, but not until recently has it impacted his health in a negative way. We also noticed the acupuncture had a longer lasting effect then the cold laser treatment. Riley was moving better and was more comfortable. After just one session we noticed a difference. He was having a difficult time getting up and down the stairs and was restless throughout the night. Initially Riley did get some relief from the laser treatments, but after a few months of cold laser therapy it seemed to have less of an effect. He has arthritis in his hips and spine and we had been trying cold laser therapy on him at the suggestion of his vet.
